New generation of orchid mixtures
Slingerland Potgrond is specialised in producing high quality orchid mixtures, especially for growing Phalaenopsis. The basis is formed of specially selected, crushed and sieved fractions of bark from the Pinus pinaster, a pine species native to the western Mediterranean region.
In order to maintain its leading position, Slingerland Potgrond is working in collaboration with Lentse Potgrond on a new generation of orchid mixtures. In this process, part of the bark is replaced by special raw materials specifically attuned to this cultivation. This produces a better quality orchid with a significantly higher percentage of sprigs.
