A cooperative of and for members
Horticoop actively invests in new and existing businesses providing added value to the horticultural industry.
The nature of these business is determined by the needs of the members, who benefit from the investments that support their business management. In turn, Horticoop members actively contribute to the cooperative by sharing their knowledge and experience. If those businesses make a profit, the members can receive dividends by means of a participation structure. Horticoop invests its part of the profit in other businesses that are beneficial to the industry. In this way, Horticoop can continue to provide support to the operational management of its members, while enabling the growth of the industry with an eye to the future.
Of members
The success of the investment formula derives from the commitment of the members, who share their expertise by making available know-how and information. On the basis of their input, Horticoop decides on the type of business that will be added to the portfolio. If a new business meets the demands of the members as well as being worthy of investment, Horticoop will include it in the portfolio. The industry grows as a whole through an active rear-guard of members, thinking and deciding proactively.
For members
Horticoop's equity is registered in the names of the members. Members share in the profits through participations, which also entitle them to certain voting rights with regard to future decisions.
Horticoop platform
Horticoop’s members can find each other on the Horticoop platform, the digital meeting place where members exchange knowledge and experiences. Also, this is where the members have a say about the direction of the cooperative and contribute ideas about future investments, for example about themes such as innovation and sustainability. This is also where they make their voices heard, so that Horticoop can offer what is needed and desired. In short, a meeting place that is buzzing with ideas to grow the sector.
Becoming a member
